Getting There

By Bus: Several bus services connect Aberystwyth and Borth with other Welsh towns and cities.

Things to Do in Aberystwyth
Explore Aberystwyth Promenade
Take a leisurely stroll along the iconic Victorian promenade, stretching over a mile with beautiful sea views, try and name every flag as you take your walk and enjoy a coffee at a few venues along the walk too. Don’t miss the chance to see the sun setting over Cardigan Bay. If you do walk the prom make sure you kick the bar at the Northern end, as is tradition.
Aberystwyth Castle
Visit the ruins of Aberystwyth Castle, built in the late 13th century. The site offers a fascinating glimpse into the town’s history and provides stunning views of the coastline.

Borth Beach
A beautiful, expansive beach perfect for family outings, sunbathing, and water sports. It’s also a great spot for fossil hunting, especially after high tides. If you have your four legged friend with you then they can enjoy the local beaches too in the winter months but please check signs for specific restricition.
Ynyslas Sand Dunes
Just north of Borth, the Ynyslas Sand Dunes are part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. The dunes are a fantastic place for walking, birdwatching, and exploring the unique flora and fauna. Dogs are welcome here all year round.
Borth Animalarium
